Litigation

John is an advocate for his clients in all stages of litigation, from discovery, investigation, mediation, and trial. He has represented individuals and businesses in a range of litigation matters including contract disputes, closely-held business and shareholder disputes, landlord-tenant matters, construction disputes, mechanic’s liens, property tax appeals, employment law claims and administrative hearings.

Entity Creation and Closely Held Businesses

John advises individuals and businesses on selecting the right business entity, business formations, and corporate governance matters. He also counsels business owners on employment matters, workplace policies, procedures, and regulations.  John has worked closely with businesses on contracts with vendors and customers.

John has extensive experience drafting and reviewing employment and non-compete agreement, independent contractor arrangements, and employee handbook provisions.  He works closely with businesses to navigate difficult employment situations and achieve successful resolutions.

Residential and Commercial Real Estate

John represents property owners, landlords and commercial tenants in the review and drafting of leases, sales and purchase agreements. He has considerable experience with multi-unit housing, and landlord-tenant matters., and represents property owners in property tax appeals.
